Junior Scholar Intensive Training (JSIT) - Now Accepting Applications for the 2025 Cohort
The University of Wisconsin–Madison Retirement and Disability Research Center (UW-RDRC) in collaboration with Howard University is seeking applications for the 2025 Junior Scholar Intensive Training (JSIT) Cohort. UW-RDRC And IRP Extramural Mentored Fellowships On Poverty, Retirement, And Disability Research - Now Accepting Applications
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Retirement and Disability Research Center (UW-RDRC) and Institute for Research on Poverty (IRP) have funding to support up to three research fellowships focused on the study of economically vulnerable populations related to poverty, retirement, and disability policy. Funded by a cooperative agreement with the Social Security Administration's Retirement and Disability Research Consortium , this fellowship program is designed to expand the reach of poverty research into issues related to retirement and disability policies and programs. UW-RDRC Awarded $3.8 Million for Research Focused on Understudied Populations
After being awarded a second five-year cooperative agreement in 2023 with the SSA Retirement and Disability Research Consortium, the UW-RDRC has received $3.83 million in funding for research, training, and outreach in 2024-25. Twelve major research projects were funded along with a mentored fellowship program, the junior scholar intensive training program, and two undergraduate fellowship programs held in collaboration with Howard University and San Diego State University.
